I have just finished reading this book, and I was very impressed. This book has everything you need to know about reflux and GORD and much more.

It opens up with an understanding as to what reflux is and how it effects the baby physically. Gives tips on how to approach Health Care Providers, questions to ask them, giving parents confidence in their attempt at finding the correct treatment for their babies. It then goes on to explain the procedures that may be involved in your child’s treatment again giving confidence to parents as they know what to expect during these procedures.
Chapter 8 describes the medications used to ease the symptoms of GORD, how they work within the body. Explaining why the correct timing for administering the medication is important. It informs you of the “acid battle” when weaning which personally nobody told me to expect.
There is information in the book regarding Breastfeeding and Tube feeding although personally I have not experienced this. The chapter offers encouragement to breastfeeding mothers and offers advice on how to continue and where to turn when it is difficult. It explains the obstacles parents may face when their child is tube fed, but the story from one mother I found was very comforting to new parents facing this option in the future.
Formulas are described one by one with tried and tested stories from parents, from personal experiences deciding which formula went hand in hand with food intolerances covered in Chapter 10. The information here is amazing. No one tells you that food can cause a reflux flare, no one tells you it can be the food intolerance that is causing the reflux. It explains what to look out for, answers some of the frequently asked questions and gives some of the best advice I have heard in all the months I have been in and out of food allergy clinic.
Alternative therapies and medicines. The book explain various different types and gives the experiences of parents.
It offers a wealth of knowledge, parents’ rights to financial help and employment rights, like the DPS scheme and parental leave. If your child requires a lot of care, it points you in the direction of carer’s and DCA. This section is very helpful
What I liked most was it offers experiences from Parents, tried, tested and truthful experiences. I like this cause I can relate, reading their stories gave me the words I couldn’t find to help explain what was going on in my home and my head. To read the fathers voices was hard as we forget about them, they are usual left on the outskirts with no idea how to ‘fix’ things and also the guilt they feel just like the mother .
The Reflux Bible really is that a bible. Nobody really understands life with a reflux baby. This book is the closest you will get unless you are a parent of refluxer. It is the holistic view of life within the home of these babies, it affects everyone. Relationships between Partners, Siblings and friends all suffer but this book will make it easier. It points you in the right direction for the supports needed and while comforting you in the fact you are not mad, this is really happening and most importantly you are not alone.

What can I say about The Reflux Bible 2 except wow!!! What an amazing informative inspirational read. I have learned so much from reading this from what more tests need to be done for my 1 year old and also I now firmly believe that this is what my boy now 6 suffered from as a baby!
From food allergies to different milks available to medication administration even possible sensory difficulties to just how us mothers keep going is such comfort to know i am not alone fighting this horrible disease. I firmly believe all doctors phn and mothers should read this book maybe then babies would get help quicker instead of having to suffer as much as they do.
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for writing this book as it has opened my eyes alot and I will now fight more to help my baby girl will be highly recommending people to take the time to read this it's most definitely a 5 🌟 book

The Reflux Bible is exactly that – a bible. It’s a veritable encyclopaedia of priceless information. Any parent who has ever had a little one suffer with reflux know how frustrating it is to get information and how isolating it can be. This book helps to not only inform parents but also provides reassurance that you are not alone and that others have travelled this often lonely path. It should be compulsory reading for all Public Health Nurses and GP’s in the country!

Yesterday I received the greatest gift.... The Reflux Bible. And boy it sure is worthy of the title 'Bible'. After getting all 3 children to bed tonight (two of which are 3 months and 13months) I sat down and read the book cover to cover. For the first time since my baby was born I feel a sense of calm descend. No, my baby's reflux hasn't magically disappeared (if only !!) I feel a massive weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I realise after reading the book I am not a neurotic mammy, slowing losing the plot. Cherie's book has affirmed everything I have felt about reflux and have not been able to vocalise. I exist in a brain fog, I can't hold a proper conversation with anyone. My confidence has gone so low a kango hammer is required to dig down and retrieve it.I have felt unable to talk, physically unable to express myself as I have been ridiculed by too many health professionals, family and friends who don't get where I'm coming from. I've been accused of trying to find something wrong with my baby that's not there. Reflux is a dirty invisible soul destroying disease. Thank you seems too insignificant a sentiment to express my massive gratitude to you Cherie. You have given me my voice and confidence back. I will no longer lie down and be literally spooned pure crap by so called 'professionals' and charged a lot of money for the pleasure! I honestly don't think you realise the massive gift and saviour that you are to all us mammies living the hell of reflux. Your generosity of spirit and constant willingness to share your knowledge and experience is going to turn a tide in educating everyone about reflux. This book will remain in my handbag, highlighted and tabbed to ram down the throats of any professional who tries to fob me off from here on in. Thank you Cherie from the bottom of my heart xxx
